Did you know up to 94% of visitors leave a website with poor or uninteresting graphic designs?  This goes to show how important it is that your graphic design skills are on point. Graphic designing is a huge part of your business’ success.  It can be anything from website design, logo design, and even the how your social media looks.  Every year there are trends when it comes to graphic design.  If you are looking to revamp your current designs or want to start out fresh and trendy in 2020, check out some of these things to apply today!

Monochrome Colors

Having the right colors for your business is a key for success.  A recent design trend is having a website or graphic in a single color with a variety of tones.  Not only does this continue the trend of minimalistic design in general, but this can be a great time to think about the colors for your business.  Use props that bring depth and interest to your graphic design with monochrome colors.  If you are not crazy about going totally monochrome, use it in small portions such as Call-to-Action buttons or a menu bar on your website.

Using Typography

Typography is another great way to keep a minimalistic design.  Get crazy with fonts!  Play with color, size, look, and even add movement.  It’s another great alternative to having photos be the focus of your graphic design.  Many companies are gravitating to the simple and highly versatile design of using fonts.  Your business’ message can be said through your typography design.

Vintage is IN

Vintage looks are definitely in this year.  There are so many wonderful designs to choose from, depending on the area you are looking to emulate.  Crazy color not your thing?  Try out a black and white design like the old, classic movies.  Got a retro inspired product?  Check out color schemes and designs from the 60s and 70s.  Have a loud and proud service?  Look into the graphics of the 80s.  Vintage graphic designs are always in.

Isometric Designs

These are a great way to show a lot of information without it feeling too busy.  Isometric is a marriage between flat 2D images and 3D ones.  Adding isometric graphics gives a more unique and eye-catching design for your customers.  Interesting designs captures more of your audience.  If you are game for a challenge, take those isometrics designs and animate them.

Get a Little Dreamy

The year 2020 is the time to get abstract with your graphic design.  You can use shapes, lines, colors and illustrations to give a dreamy, outer worldly feel.  If you need inspiration, check out artists like Georgia O’Keefe or Victor Vasarely.
