4 Unique Blog Ideas to Increase Engagement

Jackie L.

Blogs are one of the most used media by businesses to reach their audience.  Blogs can take on many forms and have their topics arranged in ways that will increase engagement.  Coming up with new and fresh ideas can sometimes be a challenge when writing.  You want to make sure you have engaging content that your followers and subscribers are looking forward to!

Let’s take a look at 4 new ideas for you to try out!

Give Them a How-To

How-to blogs are a great bit of content for readers.  Most people on the internet are looking for content that clearly and simply shows them how to do something.  If you are going to write a how-to, make it simple.  Plan it out with all the steps someone will need to address a pain point they have.  Use keywords that will make your blog easy to find.   Get creative and even add in a little humor.  You want the post to be entertaining and for them to keep reading.

Make a List

Let’s face it.  We love lists.  Not only are they easy and quick to write, but they are easy to read.  The majority of readers don’t have that much time to read long blogs, that’s why lists are a great form of content.  Address a pain point that your audience has, which may be “15 storage ideas for a kid’s room”.  You could even re-hash an older blog into a list post, or if you don’t know what to write about, think about what your audience is needing to help them or doa quick search for ideas to spark your imagination.

Give Them Some Inspiration

If you are really itching for something your readers will love, it’s an inspirational post.  Was there a story in your journey to entrepreneurship that you’d like to share?  Has someone in your industry recently achieved something great?  Or maybe it’s someone who achieved the impossible.  Write about it!  If it’s about yourself, it will allow your audience to know more about you.  The more they know about you, the more they will begin to trust you.  The more they trust you, the more likely they will purchase from you in the near future.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a lot of customers asking the same questions?  Here’s a good chance to turn those into a blog post!  User-generated content is a gold mine when it comes to content creation and increasing post engagement.  Take the top 3-4 questions your audience has asked you and start answering them!  You can even use this in all your sales and general newsletters as something for them to read if they do have questions.

Hopefully, this list has sparked some ideas for you to write some amazing content that drives audience engagement.  If you ever get stuck, think of your own pain points, as your audience may have the same ones, and write about the answers to it!
